Mor Baselios Joseph I is the Catholicos of India (Maphrian) and head of the Malankara Syriac Orthodox Church. He also serves as the Metropolitan of the Kochi Diocese.

He was elevated on March 25, 2025 at St. Mary's Cathedral, Atchaneh, Lebanon in a service presided by Patriarch Ignatius Aphrem II
